Once again I find myself in a strange place. Verona?… I didn’t trust myself to drive home after last night’s show. I woke up at 3am on Saturday and… well — that whole “falling asleep while driving” thing is a risk I didn’t care to take, I guess. By the time we were packed up and I was ready to go it was like 12:30am — already a long day. So, anyway — I was able to sleep in a bit and now my whole Sunday schedule is a mess. I’m sore as heck, too. And it’s not always easy to find a topic for these posts, you know? I got distracted by football and a free breakfast and now it’s almost 11:30 and they’re gonna kick me out of the room, but I feel like I have this responsibility to post today, so here we are. I look forward to a day of rest today once I get home. And I guess this is the topic for today. Give 100% to everything you do. Your job, your family, your workouts, and your free time. I can be a pretty intense and focused person, but I can also just sit and do nothing with the best of them, too. I actually love days off like that. There’s a reason almost every health and nutrition regime includes rest, cheat days and relaxation. We need it. So, after a pretty intense week of workouts and last night’s show, I ain’t doing shit today. Gonna sit on the couch, watch football and get fat. So there. I have a date with my personal trainer on Tuesday, when we’ll try to fix whatever it is I’m about to do today. But we all need time off like that. Today is one of those days for me.
