What?… where am I?… well, I’m in Wausau today. We played a show way up north last night and rather than drive 3+ hours at 1am I decided to get a room. Glad I did, too. And today, I’m thinking a bit about the terms “winners” and “losers” as it relates to us as humans. I’ve never really liked categorizing people like that. To me, we are all born winners. Now – we certainly have the ability to really mess it all up after that – but… the odds against any of us ever being born are staggering. On the entire planet – our parents had to meet and decide to have sex. Out of all the possibilities that could come from that, the egg and sperm that creates each one of us had to win the race to become human. It’s like gazillions to one stacked against us. We are all winners. Yes, you. Everyone is. Then what do we do once we’re given free will? We can do anything. We can be anything. We can create whatever mindset we want to – it’s up to us. Why would we focus on anger, hatred, lying, cheating, stealing or any of that at all, ever? Revenge? Fuck that. I don’t think I’ve ever used the F word on one of these posts before, but F that. It’s no way to live, and I can’t be around the hate mongers. You do what’s right, always. You love unconditionally as much as humanly possible. You treat every moment of every day like it’s your last. You create a life of wonder and awe and beauty. You create a life that’s so full of love and passion and gratitude that people want to be with you. They want to do business with you. They trust you to do what you say you will. Because living an honorable life seems to be more and more unusual these days. Be that person. We need more people living lives with integrity. With so many choices, I can’t see living any other way. I’m so looking forward to today… and tomorrow… and every day, really. Get centered and start every day with love in your heart. Help as many people as you can. Have a sincere concern for the lives of others. Some of us seem to have forgotten we are all winners. Help them see what they can’t. Let’s make the world a better place by having lived within it, eh? I wish you the best on your journey. There are no ordinary moments.
