The sun isn’t up yet here in Florida, but I am. We had planned to go to Disney today, but then?… my wife’s phone died. Well — we need to take photos, right? So often in life I’ve had things all planned out — here’s where I’m going, gonna do this on that day, during this time I’ll be here, etc… and life decides that my plan will be overridden. In the words of the great Mike Tyson, “everyone has a plan until I punch them in the face”. Life will punch us all in the face sometimes. Just gotta learn to roll with it, right? Disney can wait. We have a whole new day planned today which includes getting my wife a new phone asap. It’s gonna be a great day. They’re all great days, right? Sometimes the days you think are the worst days of your life set you up for your greatest successes. That’s how it’s always worked for me, anyway. So when life says “nice plan, but I have other ideas”… roll with it. Lean into it. The road life will take you on if often where the magic is. Surrender to the possibilities that present themselves as problems.
