I went outside the window today. We all see things in our own way, right? We all have a screening process, a window as it were, that we process information through. That mindset comes with all our beliefs about who we are, what we’re capable of, what we think of as the truth, what we think of people who don’t think the way that we do, what would make us happy or sad, and everything else that colors our visions of reality here on earth. Over time we create mental ruts. These ruts often get deeper as time goes by. We dig further into what we think is the truth about life, and we limit ourselves to only seeing it based on what has happened in the past, and what our feelings and emotions around past events have created within us. There are certainly valid reasons for this. But, we maybe don’t stop enough to look at… what if we could drop our preconceived notions? What if we could just take life as it comes to us, and realize this is what it means to live as a human? What if we could take some time to step outside the window and see without our own man-made ideas about everything? Maybe open a channel to ideas that we would just shoot down if they were presented to our ego led mind that doesn’t like it when we disturb the existing ruts. Step outside the window. Meditate. Pray. Get some unfiltered guidance. And open up to what a crazy amount of choices we have available to us at any given moment. But it’s more than that. Those nagging urges. That feeling that – you should do something. Something that doesn’t feel comfortable to you, whatever it is. Take up painting. Leave your husband. Get a new job… move… sell everything and hike through Europe… whatever it is… if you have something you’re not even considering because it’s just way too much work, or too much upset or not a “sensible” decision… but it keeps coming back. Nagging you… Pushing you… step outside the window and see what the Universe has in mind. It might just be the greatest thing you’ve ever done if you let yourself see it, believe it, and act upon it. The greatest victories in life aren’t usually achieved on your couch. They will take effort. They will require a change of habits as well in most cases. There will be internal strife, and second guessing throughout the process… and in the end, you’ll look back and say – “how did I get here?”… believe in a power greater than ourselves. Seek guidance. Once you have that inner knowing that it’s truly guidance from within – take it seriously and start moving towards it. Then watch as the world opens up and makes the idea reality in ways you could never imagine. The biggest decisions, the ones with the most impact, are often not easy to make or implement. Don’t let the past dictate your future. Get in touch with the infinite. Open up to all possibilities. Some of the old ruts might need to go to help forge a new trail. Step outside the norm from time to time and get in touch with all the possibilities you have.
